Wonderful convo!

I felt the bit about burnout in my heart.

I use to start projects, sprint to complete them and then have nothing left emotionally or mentally to keep them going.

Before this convo, I thought the sprints were the only culprit but it makes sense that it costs more energy to start a project than to keep it going (at least moment to moment).

It looked accurate to me. Did you you pick up a different energy?

🤭 I agree with Rae's comment about your Substack & the commitment to doing one thing & doing it well

Soooo…whatever quiz I took or thing I did was off. I gave Rae my info and it came back Manifesting Generator 🤣

I actually don’t like doing one thing but love simplicity 😬

So my newsletter has a clean aesthetic but I’ve switching the art up between poems, essays and micro-fics (sometimes all three) each week.

Ahahahah Jamal but now I need to look at your chart I can’t deal with the suspense. At first glance, your publication alone looks like a Generator’s publication. The not finishing projects tends to be more of a mani-gen thing, but if you’re a generator, it says that you weren’t living by design, in your authenticity, so the energy you were using towards those projects wasn’t being regenerated daily— you’d run out. There’s this whole Chinese concept inside of it called pre-natal vs post-natal chi loool.

Oh snap! I didn’t get a chart back!

Mind shooting me a link to a test? lol

And the inauthentic living is a 100% on the nose. It took two years of hard work to move from that place to the one I’m in now.

Yeah I've really had to coax myself into slowing down for this one. To use the energy from momentum to do sustainable actions instead of the energy that comes from 'novelty' and possibly grind addiction loool

“ if you come from a rich family who, even if you are bad at that, can then pay for private tutors to help you be good at that, then you're still going to finish much higher than somebody who might have had a lot of potential, but struggles to memorize things, and is from a poor family, and therefore can't afford a private tutor. So, it continually perpetuates a hierarchy that benefits people who are already born into being at the top of the system.”

this just hit me. i never thought of it that way. This is revealing!!

Unfortunately we’re not encouraged to think about it this way at all. Equality is impossible without equity 🫡
