She probably is happy. But only for a little while, until there's something else that "needs" changing. The system of Western beauty standards is so rigged & ties in perfectly with capitalism so society has no real incentive to encourage any of us to be comfortable in our own skin. The goalposts get wider. You could always be prettier, younger, more petite etc. Does it ever end? Maybe we just have to take those moments of confidence where we can get them. Those days where your hair sits just right or you skin is perfectly clear or your outfit is just magnificent. & Then also remember that some of the most perfect looking people are absolutely miserable despite it all. x
