Sunday Best: My Favourite Cookbooks (& Their Best Recipes)
Plus January & February's Remarkable Reads

It was my birthday on Friday. To celebrate, I went out for dinner with some friends and my fiancé and, if I could marry a plate of food, my fiancé might be a single man right now. The menu described the dish in question as “Roasted Cauliflower with labneh, peanut tahini, salsa macha” but, honestly, words alone could never do it justice.
We ate many, many small plates and I went home feeling inspired to cook my own versions: Grilled Sea Bream with harissa, green chilli and lemongrass, hispi cabbage in miso butter, fried courgette with whipped feta and pistachio tapenade, as well as the kind of oysters that remind you why people make such a fuss about oysters.
If you’re ever in Manchester, be sure to check out Evelyn’s neighbourhood restaurant and bar. The ambience is as good as the food and the drinks are also pretty sexy (although I can only vouch for the softs and mocktails).
